Martha Marcy May Marlene
A question recently posed to me regarding my choice of entertainment over the past month: "What have you been doing since graduation? Having one giant fucked up film festival?"
General consensus tells me the answer is yes. If so, my most recent foray into the psychological thriller genre was no exception.

A job well done
Today marks a first for the old blog. The first time a theme has lasted longer than three days. I must say I'm proud. Now, you may be asking yourself: How, exactly, did I break through the mental anguish that was keeping me from seeing one theme through for a solid week? Well, I've discovered that in times of great intellectual desperation (as this obviously was) all I need to push myself through the psychic block is to listen to my own inner Vincent Cassel:
And listen I did--and thusly bade adieu to theme cowardice at last! So thanks Vincent Cassel! May your words continue to inspire me from this day forth!

Chansons d'Amour VII: To die by your side
Yes. I've posted this song a thousand times before (i.e. twice). And I already used The Smiths earlier this week. I don't care. Frankly, I think I should be commended on not turning this week's theme into Seven Days of Smiths Songs. But I learned my lesson about the dangers of drowning my unsuspecting peers in Morrissey a long time ago (Me + Morrissey vs. Borders inc.). That being said, this is still both my favorite song and my favorite love song. Therefore it remains. I should also note that my previous Smiths post was inadvertently on Morrissey's birthday. How's that for coincidence. 53 years old, asexual/ambiguously gay, as arrogant as they come and he's still got my heart.

I digress
Any time I make a claim on this blog that it's "____ Week" that usually translates into about three days. Just like Eva Green Week and Yeats Week, Idiots Week comes to a close after a mere three entries. Usually this has less to do with my ability to find a theme and stick with it and more to do with a lack of pictures to actually keep the theme going. But I digress!

La Pauvre
Haven't spoken French in three weeks. More? Maybe. You finally start to make progress on something and then nothing. Well, then.
